DESCRIPTION:Join us for our May Chamber Luncheon event. You will have the opportunity to network\, market your business\, and enjoy a delicious lunch. We will also hear from informational speakers\, and learn who has received the Chamber's Annual Student Scholarship Award.\n\n\n\nGuest Presenters: \n\nKristen McConaha\, Executive Director of the Corporate & Continuing Education Center representing Cascadia College\, Lake Washington Institute of Technology and Everett Community College\n\nJessie J. Johnson\, Continuing & Community Education Program Manager\, Bastyr University\n\nDr. Sandeep Krishnamurthy\, Dean and Professor\, University of Washington Bothell\, School of Business\n\n\n\nPresentation Topic:  Local Workforce Development Opportunities & Benefits\n\nWhen individuals are more highly trained and educated it supports the economic and social vitality of a community.  Fortunately\, opportunities for workforce development are all around us and easily available via the internet. Workforce development can include technical and computer skills\, career re-training\, different languages\, or public speaking\, team-building and leadership development. Opportunities can range from a half-day workshop or certification class\, to a year-long program.  You and your employees who receive additional training poses a higher level of competency\, self confidence\, and become a greater asset in the workplace. The more qualified you and your company's employees are\, the more likely the chance of innovation\, growth and success for your business!  The more successful our local businesses are\, the greater our local economic vitality.\n\n\n\nTickets to this luncheon include a delicious lunch at: Inglewood Golf Club\, gratuity\, and parking.\n\n\n\nEach year at the May Luncheon we also honor a Northshore School District Senior from the Secondary Academy of Success with a $1\,500 Scholarship good towards their continued higher education.\n\n\n\nThis Student Scholarship Fund is fulfilled by donations from you\, our Chamber Members. Students are an essential part of our community and with proper encouragement\, guidance and education\, they will become active contributors in the future.\n\n\n\nPlease consider donating to our annual Student Scholarship Fund when you purchase your event ticket so that we can continue to provide this opportunity. 100% of your donation will be dedicated to the Chamber Scholarship Fund.\n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you there for this great event!
