\n\nNorthshore Schools Foundation is proud to announce the launch of our new \;Skills 4 Life \;podcast. \; \;
\n\n\;The podcast is focused on high demand jobs of the future and features interviews with professionals who are thriving in a job or industry that is marked to grow over the next decade. \;
\n\n\;&ldquo\;We hope students and parents will be intrigued by all the possibilities out there\,&rdquo\; said Carmin Dalziel\, Executive Director of the Northshore Schools Foundation. &ldquo\;We want students to be able to make learning relevant and course selection purposeful\, while also encouraging creative new trails that will lead to fun successful careers.&rdquo\; \; \;
\n\nEach episode includes information on potential careers\, paths to industry growth\, and what they can do right now to pursue that career. \;Episodes that are already streaming include an exotic animal veterinarian\, a global security expert\, an anesthesiologist\, a rocket scientist\, and there is so much more in store. \;

Helping students be prepared for life after high school is the goal of the Northshore Schools Foundation&rsquo\;s Build Skills for Life Initiative. \;

\n\nThe podcast was a brainchild of the Foundation&rsquo\;s Build Skills for Life committee. When COVID-19 shut down its opportunity to offer a second year of in-person Career Days and Life Skills Days\, the committee got creative to offer these same opportunities in a different format. \; &ldquo\;Doing a podcast seemed like a fun thing to do\,&rdquo\; said committee chair Mary Drews. &ldquo\;We know parents are listening to podcasts a lot these days and we thought if we kept them short enough\, they might be intrigued and share them with their students. Our goal is to provide a diverse lineup of career representatives so that every student in Northshore will find at least one that they are excited about\,&rdquo\; said Drews. \;
