DESCRIPTION:The community is invited to...\n\n\n\nCelebrate UTSAV Diwali 2021\n\non Main Street\, Bothell\n\nBrought to You in Partnership by: UTSAV and the Bothell Kenmore Chamber of Commerce\n\n\n\nTogether\, we will transform the pedestrian-only portion of Main Street in Downtown Bothell into a festive street of India\, full of lights\, flags\, decorations\, culture\, music\, and dance. Together\, we will share the holiday with each other in joy and delight.  \n\n\n\nCelebrations: Oct 29 - Nov 4\n\nEvery evening we will celebrate community from 6:00 to 8:00pm on the pedestrian-only portion of Main Street in downtown Bothell. \n\n\n\nParades/Live Entertainment: Oct 29 & 30\, Nov 1 & 2*\n\nEvery evening on October 29 & 30\, November 1 & 2* we will also enjoy a parade\, from 6:30 - 7:00pm\, marching through the street singing and dancing to Indian music and instruments. Every evening\, the parade will end with a rendering of India's "National Anthem" and USA's "National Anthem."  Together\, we will demonstrate a love for India and its culture and traditions. Together\, we will also demonstrate our bonds within our community living right here in the State of Washington. \n\n*Parades/Live entertainment schedule subject to change due to weather.\n\n\n\nMask Notice: Please be prepared to wear a mask while on the pedestrian-only portion of Main Street during the Diwali events\, or when in close contact with others while downtown. This applies to those 5 years of age and older. This is based on the King County Health Department and State of Washington's mask order and health requirements. Thank you kindly for your cooperation.\n\n\n\nA little information about Diwali... \n\n\n	Diwali\, sometimes called a festival of lights\, is one of the most popular and well-known festivals celebrated by more than a billion people in India and around the world.\n	The celebration lasts 5 days and represents the victory of light over darkness\, and good over evil. \n	Homes\, shops and other public places are decorated and lit with lamps\, candles\, lanterns\, and colorful decorations.\n	People share joy and presents with family and friends.\n	A popular greeting associated with Diwali is "Shubh Deepavali!" (Have an auspicious Diwali!)\n\n\n\n\nJoin us to celebrate community\, culture\, traditions\, and eat/drink/shop at the businesses in Downtown Bothell!
