Professionals and business owners are invited to attend our General Meeting event to grow your network of local connections, meet new members and hear about their businesses, and discover collaboration opportunities.
Guest Presenter: Matt Boelter, Financial Advisor & Shareholder at Viridian Advisors
Topic: "Key Practices For Business Owners To Reduce Taxes And Improve Savings"
Most business owners go into business because they have a great product or service that they believe will benefit others. While most business owners consider how the business will impact their income, few think about how the taxes will impact that income. Given some planning you may find yourself with a lower tax bill and more money left in your pocket at the end of the year.
At this session, we will explore some of the new tax changes, what you can do to ensure your participation in the deduction and explore ways you can put money away for retirement all at the same time. Attendees can expect to have these questions answered:
- What is the new passthrough tax deduction?
- What are the easiest ways to reduce my tax liability?
- As a business owner, what’s the best way to save for retirement?
Note: We are collecting composition books and spiral notebooks - college or wide ruled - for the Northshore Schools Foundation "Backpacks For Kids" program at this event! Please consider bringing these school supplies to this General Meeting to help students!
Typical attendance is 60-80 people. Free to attend. Light breakfast is served. No RSVP is needed - just come as you are. Doors open at 7:15am for socializing and checking in.
Table and Refreshment sponsorships may be available. Contact Maurita Colburn, Member & Community Relations Manager for details and to reserve.
