Beyond being a mindset, curiosity can also be operationalized as a set of tools and tactics in your communication toolbox. In this interactive short presentation, you will learn:

Co-authors Katie McCleary and Jennifer Edwards show how to use the social psychology of human connection and curiosity to drive meaningful communication and collaboration at work.

Katie McCleary is a social-entrepreneur and storyteller who coaches and trains leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and humanitarians to launch big ideas in unique ways that create positive impact. Coauthor of Bridge the Gap: Breakthrough Communication Tools to Transform Work Relationships from Challenging to Collaborative (McGraw-Hill, Feb. 15, 2022), she is the founder of 916 Ink, a nonprofit that has transformed over 4,000 vulnerable children and teens into confident authors featured in more than 200 publications. Additionally, she is the host of "The Drive" podcast on NPR’S CapRadio, in partnership with The American Leadership Forum-MV chapter. She was awarded the prestigious "Heart of a Hero” Award from Sacramento’ PBS channel. Mashable named her as a “Real Miss Americas” for her projects in low-income communities. Katie holds an MFA in writing and consciousness, serves on the school board of Visions in Education, and also on the advisory committee for the College of Arts and Sciences and for the Masters in Nonprofit Leadership program at Pacific University.
