Time to Go Big for the good of our Northshore Community
Bothell, Wash. (May 1, 2022) – Northshore Senior Center and Northshore Schools Foundation are calling on the whole community to dig deep and give on May 3rd and 4th for the good of the region.
“Between our two organizations, we work with children as young as 3 all the way to older folks in the latest stages of life. Whether it’s food security, social connection, emotional well-being, physical health, or access to information, we collaborate in so many ways that really matter for the Northshore community,” said Carmin Dalziel, Executive Director of the Northshore Schools Foundation.
Now, Northshore Schools Foundation and Northshore Senior Center are collaborating to raise funds together during GiveBIG, a statewide fundraising campaign where individuals and organizations come together across Washington to invest in our communities.
“Northshore is fortunate to have spaces and places that help residents thrive, but that doesn’t happen by accident,” said Northshore Senior Center’s CEO Nathan Phillips. “As we emerge from the pandemic, gifts of time and treasure are critical to ensure everyone–from our youngest to our oldest–has a chance to lead a full, healthy, and inspired life.”
Marketplace Sotheby’s has stepped to match donations to both organizations up to $5,000. Donations that come in from May 1st through May 4th will be eligible for the match.
"At Marketplace Sotheby's International Realty we have a dedicated mission to support our local communities such as Northshore. Our goal is to help as many individuals within our communities as possible with the help of our Marketplace Children's Foundation (501 (3) (c) non-profit charity). When we received this opportunity to support GiveBig there was no hesitation and we feel honored to be part of this statewide fundraiser." Brook Browning, Operations Manager Marketplace Sotheby’s
Since 2020, the two organizations have significantly expanded their outreach and operations to meet urgent community needs. This work will be sustained as philanthropic contributions keep pace.
