Cairn is a community-oriented neighborhood brewery and taproom. Our goal is to offer fresh, delicious beer where our neighbors live, work and play. Cairn offers outdoor seating in sun and shade, indoor communal tables and cozy couches, and an up-close view of the brewing area. We are family-friendly with board and card games for all ages. We also offer high chairs, a family bathroom with changing table and a kids-sized sink and hand dryer and a range of non-alcoholic beverages. Cairn is also dog friendly—so saddle up your pup and bring’em in! We have water bowls, a pet waste station and pet treats at the bar.
Getting to Cairn is easy—find Cairn by bicycle and foot from the Burke-Gilman Trail, by bus via 5+ bus lines along 522 and by car with onsite parking.
At Cairn, we like a wide range of beers, and we want to offer lots of styles to our neighbors. We regularly feature 15+ of our own brews!
Cairn makes beer; we don't make food. We offer snacks in the taproom and host a rotating food trucks daily at the Kenmore Food Truck Corner.
People often ask us: what is a cairn? Simply put, a cairn is a pile of rocks that serves as a navigational marker along a trail. When we started to plan for what became Cairn Brewing, we were hiking on Mount Rainier and passed a cairn. Instantly, we knew that would be the name of the brewery. And finding a site on an urban tail became our guiding principle for a location. From there, the path to the Burke Gilman in Kenmore WA was a short one. CHEERS!
