Presentation Topic: Local Workforce Development Opportunities & Benefits
When individuals are more highly trained and educated it supports the economic and social vitality of a community. Fortunately, opportunities for workforce development are all around us and easily available via the internet. Workforce development can include technical and computer skills, career re-training, different languages, or public speaking, team-building and leadership development. Opportunities can range from a half-day workshop or certification class, to a year-long program. You and your employees who receive additional training poses a higher level of competency, self confidence, and become a greater asset in the workplace. The more qualified you and your company's employees are, the more likely the chance of innovation, growth and success for your business! The more successful our local businesses are, the greater our local economic vitality.
